Although Im still messing around with the settings trying to get it to match perfectly, I can get pretty close to match that clean chorusy type sound from the women in love intro, as well as the sound from the fair warning and 1984 album. I'd definitely recommend this pedal to anyone looking for that Van Halen harmonizer sound. The H910/H949 gets you close to the earlier stuff. You play a note and it plays an arpeggio based on the note you hit, and you can change the speed and which type of arpeggio it plays too! Shredding has never been easier! The Anthology XII plug-in bundle brings Eventides 50 years of pioneering audio technology directly to your D.A.W. I also like what I call the HarPeggiator, which I call the Malmsteen setting. I can get everything from theremin like sounds to 8-bit Nintendo/super mario sounds. But it does has 8 more effects believe it or not! My next favorite setting is the Synthonizer setting. Although I'm still messing around with the settings trying to get it to match perfectly, I can get pretty close to match that clean chorusy type sound from the women in love intro, as well as the sound from the fair warning and 1984 album.īeing a VH nut, those 2 settings made that pedal worth the money. The H910/H949 gets you close to the earlier stuff. Another thing I like to do is set the micropitch signal at 100% wet and at -50 cents to detune my signal half a step if I want to play the earlier VH stuff. It has two channels which you can blend together, one can only be raised up to 50 cents and the other can be lowered up to -50, thus you can get that balance tone easily by raising one to 7 cents and the other to -5. So I bought the harmonizer and I have been playing with it for a few days now, and wow! it sounds great! The micropitch settings is definitely the way to go for the balance and f.u.c.k.
